Brentwood accepts students from many parts of the world into its International Students Program. The current program caters for over 50 full fee paying International students ranging from Year 7 to Year 12, who are integrated into the general school program. Situated in Glen Waverley approximately 25km east of the Melbourne CBD, Brentwood Secondary College is a co-educational and multicultural college for Years 7 to 12. Students contribute to a safe and secure learning environment that values and respects their individual achievements.
Brentwood Secondary College is committed to the delivery of a challenging, high quality inclusive curriculum. Students are encouraged to strive for excellence. The College offers over 30 VCE subjects that lead to University and TAFE courses. They include access to a selection of Vocational Education and Training courses as well. A structured EAL program supports student learning by providing intensive assistance.
The college is committed to monitoring a well-disciplined environment supported by a House structure and a highly experienced student wellbeing team.
Our Local Area
Glen Waverley is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 25 km south-east of Melbourne’s central business district in the local government area of the City of Monash. At the 2011 Census, Glen Waverley had a population of 39,204.
The main street of Glen Waverley is Kingsway. In recent years, Kingsway has developed into a vibrant dining and entertainment area. Also on Kingsway is Century City Walk, a cinema multiplex. It houses various eateries, Strike Bowling and a Village Cinema. There are now many hotels such as Novotel Glen Waverley, Hotel Ibis, Waverley International Hotel, Apartments of Waverley and the Quest Hotel. There is also a large branch of the Monash Public Library Service. The Glen is a local regional shopping centre. The Glen houses a substantial collection of shops, including supermarkets, a food court and a number of smaller clothing stores. A smaller shopping centre closer to Brentwood Secondary College is Brandon Park Shopping Centre. This centre includes a food court and a number of specialty shops.
