Year 11 Camp

Central Australia

The Year 11 camp takes place in late June and is 2 weeks in duration.

The Central Australia camp aims to broaden students’ knowledge and appreciation of Australian History, Multi-Cultural diversity and Geographical significance. In addition, it gives the Year 11 students an opportunity to further develop their social network, maturity, social competencies and staff rapport through shared experiences, as well as enhancing their physical abilities and fitness in a safe and enjoyable camp setting.

Students will travel from Melbourne to Darwin via bus and then fly back two weeks later. Along the way, they will get to experience beautiful landscapes such as Uluru, Kata Tjuta, King’s Canyon, Devil’s Marbles and the Ubirr Art Site. They will also get to witness some of the world’s most prolific wildlife in Kakadu National Park while experiencing our cultural heritage from the traditional custodians of Australia.
